Signed up for 2XU Compression Run 2014 to be held on March next year. This will be my 2nd time running in the same event at half-marathon (21KM) distance.

Left my hotel 40 minutes earlier for a short walk to the starting line, located at Republic Avenue near to Nicoll Highway. Lot of runners were seen heading towards the same direction at that time, hence no problem navigating to the start area.

The 21KM category were flagged off in few waves. Im guessing I was in the 2nd wave, 3-4 minutes behind the 1st wave.

Pocari Sweat isotonic drink was available at every water stations. Water station traffic was OK. Tons of photographers this time along the running route. Official and non-official photographers were seen at most of the important areas.
Completed the 21.1KM run at 2:46 minutes. Got my finisher medal, finisher tee, bottle of Pocari Sweat and an iced-cold micro-fibre sport cloth few metres after crossing the finishing line.

Event Area
I can see improvement at the event area compared to last year with more exhibition booths. Just still couldn't find an event backdrop for people to take photograph with. Great job to all official and unofficial photographers covering the run. Special thanks to Defcom's Run Shoot and Running Shots. Check out their Facebook page for event photos.

Race pack collection was OK but could be better. There were participants that received a different vest size due to out-of-stock. Last year I have to use a larger vest size due to same excuse by the organisor.
Summary: Still a good race event. Keep up the good work. This race really do promotes the 2XU brand. Hope to see the Malaysian version of 2XU Compression Run 2014 soon.
