Counting days for my Manila, Philippines weekend gateway trip. I came across an interesting fun run event on the same weekend --- Neon Invasion Fun Run 2013 5K --- The first ever Neon Fun Run in The Philippines.
I never had the experience running in this type of event so I sent an email to the organisor if the registration is still open and applicable for foreign participants. Good news! Registration is still open until the 5 December 2013.
About
About
This event is less about speed and more about enjoying a night of neon lights and neon glow body paint under LED and black lights with friends and family (THIS IS NOT A RAVE).
Each course is designed to light up the night with several UV black light glow zones, upbeat dance music of the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and current top hits and amped runners who are dressed up and ready to party. Although it is a 5k run and everybody can run as hard as they’d like, most just want to light-it-up, have a good time, and dance their way to the finish.
The fun doesn’t end there because the after run celebration near the finish line is the best part of the Neon fun run – New Wave Party for a Cause

1st stage
Disco is the genre of music most readily associated with the 1970s. Music from the likes of disco divas Diana Ross, Donna Summer, popular songs from the movie Saturday Night Fever, featuring the music of the Bee Gees, Beatles and the likes.
2nd stage
The arrival of MTV highlights the new wave era. Neon lights and laser lights will be highlighted with songs from Michael Jackson, Madonna, and New Kids on the Block, Debbie Gibson, Tiffany, The Bangles, The Cure, Depeche Mode, Modern English, U2, Depeche Mode, The Clash, and Pet Shop Boys.
3rd stage
The night clubs look. , music from boy bands like back street boys, a1, and Britney spears. Music from Hip hop became and females’ rappers, such as Queen Latifah and hip hop trio Salt-n-Pepa, Jay-Z, Missy Elliott MC Hammer and the likes will dominate this stage.
4th stage
Techno is a form of electronic dance music with the creative use of music production technology, such as drum machines, synthesizers, and digital audio workstations. This stage, the area will look have a homogenous stage where in sounds of electropop, glitchpop, new rave, trance dance-pop, drum and bass, technopop will grove the participants in the after run party.
The party – EDM! (Electric Dance Music)

- Payment at Banco De Oro (BDO) is preferred, you just have to visit any BDO branch to pay.
- Payment to: Armando Miranda / Wavesound Productions & Entertainment BDO - SM North Edsa Branch. Savings account number: 004050265349
- Send your copy of your deposit slip together with the registration form to neoninvasion2013@gmail.com.
