TRILOGY LENSES 💄 | BEAUTY REVIEW

Hey Zengarmy,

Okay I'm starting this post in a very agitated mood because Picmonkey (the photo
editing website that I've always used to edit my blog photos) just decided to pull
back ITS FREE VERSION FROM EVERY USER — which means NOW I HAVE TO PAY TO
SAVE THE PHOTOS I'VE EDITED ON THE WEBSITE! 👋 Ermmmmmmm how about NO
THANKS?! 👋 I would rather throw my money into a trash can than paying for this!

😡 😡 😡 😡 😡

Being frantic, I edited today's thumbnail using a new editing website called BeFunky
and I think it doesn't turn out too bad huh? Even though it looks a bit wonky as I'm
STILL in the process of assimilating to this new website, I think it's safe to say that I
would NEVER use Picmonkey again until they decide to get off the fucking high horse
and re-grant the free version to its users I hate it when a brand gets this stuck-up!

▲ In this photo : Trilogy Lenses in the colour "Brown" (sorry for the photo quality 😭 I'm still getting used to the new editing website argh!)

Today I'm coming at you with a beauty review on Trilogy's contact lenses!
This is my FIRST proper review on a beauty product and I'm SO EXCITED to
be breaking the gender stereotype that "only females are allowed to put
on makeup / do something to beautify themselves"! It's 2017 and I'm here
to tell you that as long as you feel confident in wearing makeup, YOU DO
YOU AND LET NOBODY TELL YOU WHAT YOU SHOULD AND SHOULDN'T DO!

*insert Bodak Yellow here*

Anyway, I can't seem to find the official website for Trilogy Lenses (which is
a little bit worrying to me hahaha!) but I got them from A-LOOK Eyewear
(a certified contact lenses distributor, phew) so everything should be safe!
I really wanted to make this post as newbie-friendly as it possibly can, as
when I started wearing contact lenses I literally have NO CLUE about what
should I take note of, especially when it comes to eye safety, price range,
lens power and etc. 😩 The only source of information I have is my friend
who also wears contact lenses (she did not give me a very comprehensive
explanation tho! 😂), hence I wanted to make this post for those of you
who wanted to try out contact lenses but are clueless about everything.

[ Eye Safety ]

For those of you who have never wore contact lenses before, they are essentially

just 2 pieces of plastic-like, round shaped membranes that fit onto your cornea.
It will take a VERY LONG TIME (an entire hour in my case) for you to put on the
contact lenses if you are a first-time wearer, as our eyes are designed to react
to any physical invasion with self-defense mode (aka blinking non-stop & tearing
up, basically being over-dramatic to stop you from poking your eyes). Instead of
using the term "poking your eyes", I find "pasting a soft sticker to your eyeball"
a better term to describe the process of putting on contact lenses. If you find the
lenses a bit hardened to be stuck onto your cornea, simply use contact solution to
wet the lenses before putting them onto your eyeballs. DO NOT USE TAP WATER!!!

( saying this because some people actually DID that )

If possible, you should always consult your optician before deciding to wear contact
lenses on a daily basis. Being a bad example, I bought my first pair of contact lenses
without the "consulting optician" part (nobody told me that!). I literally just went in
to a spectacle shop with my friend, told the person in charge I wanted to buy a pair
of contact lenses, told her the power of my spectacles so that she can find me the
appropriate power for my contact lenses — and got my contact lenses — THAT. IS.
LITERALLY. IT! I then went and got my contact solution (to sterilize & soften the
lenses), lens case (for you to store the lenses overnight, obvs) and lubricating
drops for contact lenses (this one is optional but it's for when your eyes get dry
and you can't take out your contact lenses because the night is still young and
you want to look cute). NEVER use a normal eye drop for contact lenses, NEVER
wear contact lenses and dive without eye goggles, and NEVER fall asleep while
wearing contact lenses — as these WILL MAKE THE LENSES SLIDE TO THE BACK OF
YOUR EYEBALLS. Treat your contact lenses as a part of your organs, because it is!

[ Price Range ]

I'm still considerably new in the universe of "contact lenses wearer" (I only started

trying them earlier this year) so I have NOT tried out many different brands yet
— but from my existing experience so far, RM45 - RM60 for monthly pair seemed
to be the average price range. Obviously, the pricier the lenses are, the more
natural they are going to look on your eyes and the more comfortable they are
going to be on your eyes. PLEASE DO NOT BUY LENSES THAT ARE CHEAPER THAN
THE AVERAGE PRICE AS THEY MIGHT POSSIBLY BE VERY HARMFUL TO YOUR EYES.

Among all of the averagely priced colored contact lenses that I've tried out so far,
Trilogy appears to be the most comfortable for my eyes (I will get onto the review
soon please hang on there). For the more highly priced lenses, Air Optix is highly
recommended by my friend as their lenses are very comfortable & natural looking
(but they cost RM90 per month tho). When it comes to lenses, you can't be stingy!

[ Lens Power ]

Most of the contact lenses on the market come in identical power for one pair of

lenses (meaning: same power for both lenses) — but I'm sure none of us has the
EXACT IDENTICAL power for both eyes! This is the slightly sketchy downfall of
wearing contact lenses as you have to find the intermediate power between
both of your eyes. Having said that, there are some shops that allow you to
customize the power for each lens — but needless to say, they cost higher!

Now let's get on with the ACTUAL review!

I've loved Trilogy lenses so much that I've tried out 2 out of 5 of their monthly colored
contact lenses! They feel comfortable on my eyes for most of the time even though
they are 14.5 mm in diameter (average diameter for contact lenses are 14.2 mm)!
I personally preferred the grey colored
lenses compared to the brown colored
lenses, as the latter looked super FAKE
when hit by direct light source — most
of the time it appears RED rather than
brown, which is very disappointing!!!

Undeniably, the brown lenses has HIGHER color payoff than the grey lenses

(hence appeared better on photos most of the time) BUT the grey lenses
are definitely more natural looking. Overall, I will recommend the grey
lenses if you want to try out Trilogy lenses! However, be prepared that
it's not going to look SUPER PIGMENTED most of the time when the light
is not directly hitting on the lens — BUT WHEN IT DOES, it looked super
pretty and vampire-like! On the other hand, the brown lenses looked...
LIKE YOUR EYES ARE ON FIRE 24/7 😭 😭 😭 (would 4/10 recommend 👎)

▲ Did my makeup SUPER vampire-like to
match my alter ego. That nose contour tho!

I would like to end this post with a "use-my-promo-code-to-get-10%-off" but sadly
I wasn't sponsored by Trilogy because I basically curse all over my blog and no
company wants to sponsor me 😂 😂 😂 (but at least I'm not a fake bitch!)

Has any of you tried Trilogy lenses
& has totally different opinions than
mine? Let me know in the comments!

STORYTIME | MY TINDER DATE IS A SCAMMER 🐍

Hey Zengarmy,

Y'all are going to be FUCKING SHOOOOOOOOOOOOK by today's storytime!
First of all, disclaimer, EVERYTHING about this story is REAL except from
the fact that the dating app I was using is NOT Tinder but another *ahem*
less popular dating app, just in case y'all go to the app to harass me after
reading this post (I'm FUCKING prepared hahah!). Also, I'm going to use the
initial of "R" to represent the motherfucker that tries to scam my money but
failed (tragically) because I'm pretty sure R uses fake name to scam around &
has probably changed names for the 261358619th time. I will just save myself
some time and effort by calling R "R". Before I went ahead spilling the TEA, let
me just (slightly) update you guys on what's happened in my life recently, & why
I haven't been as active on this blog as I used to be. So, long story short: (1) I'm in
my third year right now and this bitch is NOT trying to fool around with his CGPA,
(2) I lived in my real life more when I'm not blogging, and (3) my life is just super
boring lately, which consists of me just repeating my daily routine and crying about
how broke and hungry and tired I constantly am — yeap nothing new here. However,
I went to a prom 2 nights ago and it was pretty lit — I've had so much fun that night!

// (swipe left for aesthetics) When you spent an hour trying to edit the pictures to match your feed and tag all the frans (i missed out @leteashapax what tf am i doin) 😞 @Instagram trying to square EVERY pictures when i post in-multiple is RUINING MY AESTHETIC i'm just saying 🖕 Finally, the FIRST prom where I'm not depressed and am allowed to wear smokey eyes to! 💄I've been to A LOT of proms but this is the MOST fun I've had 😭 Designed the event tickets and posters myself (whoop whoop), wore smokey eyes for the first time and NAILED IT (shoutout to @veronicaquah for the moral support), and even got down to the dance floor even though I totally sucked at dancing 💛 I would never trade this night for another in my life! 😭 ps: of course i have to tag @tlismarv in her ugliest freeze pose moment because *in @bretmanrock's voice* we cute or whuteva! (she almost turned me straight but uh-uh i'm still gay as fuck) 😘 #zengstagram
A post shared by ZENG TECK 🔥 センテック (@zengteck) on

Anyway, that's all the life updates I have for you so let's get back to the real
reason why y'all clicked the link to this post — THE TINDER DATE STORYTIME!

Let's start from the VERY beginning.

I don't know about you, but I've always been feeling very sketchy about online
dating. The fact that you're being judged on a platform via only a few photos
(that are probably photoshopped as fuck) feels superficial to me. And also, it
is a known fact that most dating apps are for hookups & people who just want
to fuck around spreading STDs 💩 Online dating just doesn't appeal to me, until
boredom and curiosity FINALLY struck in a few weeks ago (after I've just finished
my last final exam). So, I downloaded a dating app & matched with a few people
throughout the first few days — it actually made me more bored because I've only
had a decent chat with ONE MATCH (there's not even romantic chemistry between
us), and the rest are just a bunch of SNAILS who used 3 days to reply a "hi". Like,
excuse me but fuck you, bye, and never see you again no thanks 😊 Online dating
is a literal TORTURE for somebody like me who feels anxious if I didn't get a reply
within 24 hours from a chat. After a week of hanging on the edge of hopelessness,
I matched with this really attractive human being called R (which turns out to be
a scam-motherfucking-mer in the end, what a shame). R ticked ALMOST all of the
boxes of what I've envisioned to be my imaginary perfectly-made-in-heaven match,

but here comes the first tip...

If something looks too good to be true,
it is motherfucking too good to be true.

I was definitely aware of the fact that R appears to be too perfect to be true,
but I ain't got nothing to lose (I'm not THAT stupid to send nudes) so I decided
to linger around and see what is up. R claimed to be living in Canada and has
never been to Malaysia before, so we kinda started the conversation with me
trying to be a Geography teacher giving a lesson on Malaysia's climate. At this
point of time, I had already gathered 2 suspicious characteristics about R, in
which: (1) R never turned on the location setting (which means I can't see how
far R was away from me but R can see how far I was away, which is SCARY, now
that I looked back at it), (2) when I asked R about Canada I got ignored and sent
"hi how are you today" as a reply in our next conversation (as if R has forgotten
what we've been chatting about or is actively trying to avoid my question). The
only reason I'm still chatting with R is because there were no any attempts of
sexual requests from R  which is relieving to know, in comparison with a few
horny matches I've had who asked for my nudes. Bitch, the only nudes you are
going to get from me (if you're daring enough to ask for any) is fucking THIS:

( Click HERE to download the original image of this seducing NUDE,
just in case it might become handy when somebody asked for one )

Like tbh I'm TOTALLY going to send this nude to whoever's daring enough to ask
for one, so come at me bruh. It would have been so much fun if R asked for my
nudes but unfortunately that didn't happen. After merely a few days of chatting,
R requested to visit me from Canada. I was honestly dumbfounded. I asked for R's
social media but R claimed to be inactive on social media (hence having none).
I mean... LIKE... HONEY HAVE YOU BEEN LIVING ALL YOUR FUCKING LIFE UNDER
ROCK OR SOMETHING?? I immediately asked for selfies but it took R a few hours
to send 2 photos... BITCH... YOU ARE FUCKING DONE 😂 Me at this point of time:

The only thing that I gave R by this time is my phone number (for R to "contact me
upon arrival") so I wasn't majorly worried about getting killed or kidnapped by this
date hahahahaha! We chatted for a little bit before R claimed to be hopping onto
a flight arriving Malaysia at 7 a.m. in the morning AND I LITERALLY TOLD ALL OF MY
CLOSE FRIENDS WHO KNEW R'S EXISTENCE THAT IF R IS GOING TO ASK FOR MONEY
FROM MY FUCKING BANK I AM GOING TO EXPOSE THIS FUCKING CUNT ON MY BLOG.

And here we are on this blog now hahahahahah.

So, on the day when everything went down the drain, I received a phone call at
about 9 a.m. in the morning. When I answered the phone, I knew something is
amiss — R's Canadian accent sounded weird AS FUCK. I literally almost laughed
out LOUD when I realized this entire bullshit is a scam, but I decided to play with
R a little bit so that I can have more content for my blog post when I'm writing a
storytime. R went as far in fabricating lies as to actually pass the phone to another
Malay lady who pretended to be some sort of officer TELLING ME THAT I HAVE TO PAY
RM450 AS A "DENDA" (English translation: fine) BECAUSE R BROUGHT U.S. DOLLAR
ACROSS THE BORDER. I stayed silent on the phone until the fucking old hag hung
up the phone, and I immediately blocked the number before heading to the app
to report R's fucking account. After that I sat on my bed and created a playlist
on Spotify with all the diss tracks for the exes (shoutout to Taylor Swift yo!):

Me at this point of time inspecting all the

lies R made for wanting RM450 from me:

Also, if you have not followed me on Spotify yet, WHAT THE FUCK are you doing
with your life?? (no i'm totally just kidding but you can click HERE to follow me)
Like, totally no pressure, my Spotify playlists are the bomb dot com or whateva.
I think that's enough TEA to be spilled in today's storytime! 😂 Let me know in the
comments below if you have any similar experiences as me, or if you have any
words of consolation for me to make me feel better. I'll see you in my next one!

FIFTH HARMONY 7/27 MALAYSIA TOUR 2017

Hey Zengarmy,

We ain't worried 'bout nothing, we ain't worried na' na'da!

▲ Caption Of The Day = Camila Who? Camila Who? Camila Who? Camila WHO?

I've been wanting to properly SIT DOWN & write this fucking blog post since last Friday

but so many things just came throwing at me like a bunch of random meteorites hitting
at a spaceship (a weird analogy, but I'll take it) — assignments, proposals, posters, and
pop quizzes — you'll know what I mean when you're at the last semester of your second
year of university. Things are just getting a little bit crazy right now, so do bear in mind
that if you noticed the lack of update on this blog, it's probably due to the fact that I'm
working my ass off on my assignments or revisions, or I might be busy living my life IRL.
I don't know. I've been trying to cut down the time I spend on social media recently and
it's oddly therapeutic for me. I will share more about my reflection on that subject soon
on this blog so if you look forward to more wisdom talk from me, definitely stay tuned!

So, ya. During last Friday, I had the chance to go to the Fifth Harmony 7/27 concert &
see them perform LIVE! It just feels so weird to me as I can still remember watching
them competing on the X-Factor stage and being thrown shades by Demi Lovato that
the group is like "Camila and her backup dancers" instead of "Fifth Harmony" hahaha
but here they are now, being one of the biggest girl group in the entire world!

And then, the Camila drama happened.
(which, made me disliked her a little bit, but that's not the point of this post.)

With the exit of Camila Cabello from the group, the whole world's attention seemed
to be revolving around the fate of the group. Will they crumble into pieces? OR will
they rise above the mess that's left by the main vocal's exit? (main vocal = Camila,
if you're confused). I personally am quite interested to know what's going to happen
to the group's live performances — now that the lead singer is gone  which is why
when I heard the news that Fifth Harmony (now Fourth Harmony? lol) is coming to
Malaysia for their 7/27 world tour, I immediately asked my friend Kelson to join me
in this investigation (lol). How will the girls alter the old original songs to fit in with
their vocal range? Is Fifth Harmony FINALLY going to be in unity instead of everyone
trying to steal the limelight? Who is taking over Camila's part now that she's gone?

I. am. dying. to. know. all. the. answers!

Knowing that Fifth Harmony has one of the largest & most loyal worldwide fanbase
in the pop atmosphere, we went 4 HOURS EARLIER BEFORE THE OPENING OF THE
CONCERT & found ourselves already queuing up behind a long line of people — who
are like, super duper Harmonizers (fandom name for Fifth Harmony's fans), and me
& Kelson were just 2 fake fans who only know a handful of songs from the group, lol.
We managed to blend into the Harmonizers pretty well by singing a few songs of Fifth
Harmony while we were in the queue. We've also met some of the sweetest (literally)
& friendliest people while waiting in the line. However, here are a few tips that I think
might be useful to those of you who haven't had a lot of experience of going to concerts:

#1. Don't go to concerts alone, just don't.

Bringing at least one friend with you to a concert will be a wise decision, trust me.
A lot of the times you might have to go to toilet, & who's going to take care of your
queuing spot that you've been standing/sitting in for the entire time? YOUR FRIEND.

#2. Stay hydrated. But don't bring mineral water bottles, because they're not allowed.

DRINK WATER! I cannot stress how important this is and I'm sure you know it.
However, concerts generally DO NOT ALLOW people to bring in mineral water
that is stored inside the plastic bottle (not exactly sure why, please Google it
and tell me in the comment section below, thanks!). However, being a nerdy
weirdo I am, I brought my own water tumbler to the venue and they actually
allowed me to bring it into the concert. Again, not sure if it's because I was
lucky or what — so please double confirm with the rules and regulations of
the concert you're going to. If you're a person who constantly feels the urge
to go to the toilet like me, try not to drink too much water at a go. I usually
drink only once from every 30 to 45 minutes, and up to 2 to 3 sips of water.

#3. Bring powerbank. If you can't live without scrolling your phone for a second.

I didn't have much problem with this because I can live without scrolling my phone.
But if you're one of those people who have to post a selfie every 5 minutes, consider
bringing a portable powerbank because the queuing session will be one of the MOST
time-consuming and monotonous period of your life. Or you can talk to your friend.

#3. Bring a paper (to be made into paper fans).

Depending on where do you live in, Malaysia happened to be a tropical country
that will make you uncomfortably sweating if you stand under the sun for too
long. Bringing a small electronic fan or a Chinese fan would be too much of a
hassle most of the time (you want to travel light) so a paper fan is definitely
an affordable (zero cost) & wise decision to make. Gotta keep yourself cool!

#4. Bring snacks (that is filling).

The last thing you want is a hungry, growling, and grumpy stomach that screams
at you for every 1 to 2 minutes in repetition. This is possibly the wisest wisdom
that I can impart to you from my experience. Take it. And thank me later, thanks.

▲ PS: This is not how the waiting line looks like, lol.

I wished this is what the waiting line looks like, but it's not (this is the actual concert).
I was actually TOO PISSED to take any shots during the waiting in line because it's just
too crowded and noisy to do anything other than sitting down doing nothing, hahaha!
THE QUEUEING PART OF A CONCERT WILL FOREVER BE THE MOST TORTURING THING
IN MY WORLD. Sometimes I wished I can be a celebrity so that somebody will give
me some direct access to my seat. The overall experience is extremely horrible
and annoying as the management kept us waiting for an hour later than the
original door-opening time (we went in at around 8pm when the ticket says
"door opens at 7pm"). Malaysia timing is the most magical thing in the world!

I was actually a little bit shocked when I saw the setup of the stage:
It was terribly small, and shabby.

Yes. I hate to sound like a bitch, but the stage is one of the most terrible
and effortless setup I've ever witnessed in a concert so far! It looked like
they've only spent less than a night setting up the entire stage and decided
to call it a day. I definitely felt a bit "robbed" but it's still bearable because
the ticket wasn't too expensive or what (RM154 including all the taxes, it's
actually quite okay for me). The concert started around 20 minutes after
I went in, which is a bit annoying considering the fact that they've already
made us waited for an extra hour more than we expected. But whatever.
I've heard some people waited for more than 2 hours because the artist's
ego is bigger than their head so I guess I'm lucky to be the one who's only
waited for 20 minutes. On top of that, to my dismay, the sound system was
also a little bit too screechy to the ears. I basically wasn't very impressed.

I didn't get to take too many shots because I was also busy vlogging, instagramming
and snapchatting all at the same time (life of a blogger with many social media) &
also, I WAS BUSY ENJOYING MYSELF! *YOU CAN WATCH THE FULL VLOG AT THE END
OF THIS POST YOU'RE WELCOME* Lauren's and Dinah's vocals definitely wowed me
to the core of my brain. I noticed that they've kept most of their old songs to their
original rhythm, but Lauren and Dinah (and maybe Ally, lol, sometimes) took over
most of Camila's part flawlessly (in my opinion). I would say their live performance
sounded nothing too different from the album version, which is amazing (I always
knew they have the pipes anyway)! However, some songs (only a few) sounded like
they're lip-synched to me. Maybe it's because the backtrack of the song is too loud?
I don't know. For me, the BEST performance of the night is BO$$, no doubt! They've
also performed some of their ballads to neutralize all the edm (electronic dubstep
music) elements in their recent new songs. From time to time, they would actually
interact with the audience not as a group, but individually, so every member of the
group has their own moment to shine. I definitely think they're better off without
Camila hahahah! The whole concert lasted around 1 to 2 hours with a good amount
of songs ranging from their first album to the current album. Of course, as expected,
they ended the concert with the song that we all know how to sing — Work From Home.

Again, soz for the blurry shots. The lighting wasn't the best at concerts.

WATCH THE FULL VLOG OR ELSE! :
