I was in Bangkok for business trip and I got a chance to stay at Siamaze for 3 days 2 nights. Overall experiences have been positve and I'd return again and again in the future. Staff are amazing and the facilities are just perfect. Now let's see what they have to offer guests from all over the world!
Starbucks will cost you approximately 5$ for a Tall latte. Then you can enjoy your cup of joe for an hour or two and that's about it. Co-working space will also cost about 10$ for 8-hour period. However, you can pay the same 10$ and get a nice comfy bed, a working space with breakfast for almost 24 hours! That's just how I see how cool this place can be.
Siamaze is located on Ratchada 17 st. Built in 2013, Siamaze Hostel is a distinct addition to Bangkok and a smart choice for budget minded travelers. The hotel offers access to many services, including free Wi-Fi in all rooms, luggage storage, Wi-Fi in public areas, car park, family room, and TV lounge. Here is what it looks like upfront.
There are 4 room types: Deluxe, Deluxe 4-bed Family, 8-Bed, and 4-Bed dormitory. Dormitory is on 2nd floor and TV lounge is also on this level. Shared bathroom looks clean and function well.
Now let's take a look at my room which is a deluxe twin. This room is spacey and comes with private bathroom. It's only 1000THB(approx 30USD) for two persons. What I like about deluxe room is its balcony. You can dry your clothes, towels within half a day!
The common area is the main attraction of Siamaze. It was well designed with high ceiling and open layout. Guests can spend all day here working or just chilling. The hostel also offers many activities through out the week. We had a complimentary cooking class on Monday and it was PadThai! What a fun way to make your own Thai noodle dish.
And what sets Siamaze apart from other hostels in town is the service. Staff are very friendly and genuine. Breakfast is very generous with bread, coffee, cook-your-own-egg station, orange juice, fresh watermelon and more. I've been to many hostels and most of them only offer basic coffee and toast. So, this is a plus to the guests.
So, the stay at Siamaze was simple but memorable. It's only 8 min walk to subway which will lead you to major attractions in Bangkok. Some people may find it quite far. In this case, you can ride motorcycle taxi. It costs around $1. Convenient stores are nearby and it opens 24/7. All in all, Siamaze is one of the best choices to stay in Bangkok.
