Got my hands on a HALO Belt 1.0 version earlier this week. HALO Belt has been on my wish-list since it was proposed on Kickstarter.
About HALO Belt
Halo Belt designed to save lives. It is an illuminated reflective belt that provides optimal visibility and safety for its user.
The HALO is powered by LEDs that emits lighting through a custom designed thermoplastic polyurethane fiber optic. The TPU fiber optic is then in-housed in premium structured polyester/nylon belt with a quicksnap release buckle.
The battery life can last up to 75 non-consecutive hours depending on the flash mode. If it is on solid mode, It last for about 20 hours straight. It has the same battery life of most bike lights.

The HALO Belt 1.0 comes in a plastic tube with an information and battery replacement guide card in it, different from the 2.0. Upon detaching the plastic holder, the HALO Belt functions by using the power button which is located behind the HALO label section.

The adjustable elastic can be modified from size 0 to 46. The adjustment clip can also go adjusted through the fiber optics when necessary.
There are 3 types of lighting modes to choose from - Solid, Flash (Fast-Flash) and Strobe (Slow-Flash). However the 2.0 version is simplified to only two modes.
You can order your very own HALO Belt from www.halobelt.com. If not mistaken, online ordering from the website also ships your order to most countries, including Malaysia. Not really sure about the delivery time.
I got my HALO Belt from a store named Verticale located at Taman Sri Gombak, Batu Caves, Kuala Lumpur. Had the opportunity to ask some questions about the product with the friendly store keeper, Mr. Aliff.
Verticale specialized in supplying climbing equipment and provide professional guiding services. They also sell products for climbing,canyoning,caving, etc.

Review
I give it a ★★★★ (4/5) for the HALO Belt 1.0 brightness. Don't expect the same brightness as the official images found in the net though. However, the brightness visibility is still great when used at night outdoor. Brightness also determines by the strength of its battery unit. Can't really comment about the battery life of my HALO Belt yet as it is still fresh.
★★★★★ (5/5) for comfort when attached to either my waist or across my shoulder like a sling bag.
I highly recommend HALO Belt for its main objective for night visibility and safety at night for cyclist, runners and outdoor activity.
