Malindo Air (Indonesia) is now offering their flight services from Bangkok to Kuala Lumpur. This direct-flight however is operated by Thai Lion Air with Lion Air's Boeing 737-900 ER. Which means, bigger leg room and new seats. Even though the aircraft is similar with the ones from Kuala Lumpur - Kota Kinabalu, there is no in-flight entertainment for passengers - no touch screens lcd at seat.
"Indonesia’s Lion Air Group is aiming to launch a new affiliate in Thailand by the end of 2013 with an initial fleet of two 737-900ERs based at Bangkok Don Mueang Airport. The new carrier, Thai Lion, will follow the low-cost model and, unlike Lion’s Malaysian subsidiary Malindo, provide an all-economy no-frill service."
If you are traveling from Bangkok, the flight departs from Don Mueng International Airport together with other low cost airlines like Air Asia and Nok Air. Check-in counter is located at aisle 8. You may need to arrive early at the airport since check-in is still manually done.
I am sure that Malindo Air do have web check-in service in their website. Cant really comment about the service yet since I haven't tried. Do expect for slight delays for boarding though - sometimes.
