Pimalai is a 5-star resort on Lanta Island. That's all I know before I made a trip there. However, it's absolutely beyond my expectation in many senses.

The villa is spacious and well maintained. The private pool has an amazing panoramic view of the ocean. We stayed in villa 601 which is located next to the main facilities. The view may not as good as villa 7xx-8xx-9xx but it's convenient since you can have access to the main pool at mostly anytime you want. No need to wait for buggy service.
Breakfast is very nice. To be honest, I've seen better breakfast at other resorts but its quality and service is still at 5-star. The view in the morning makes things tastier .... that's for sure.

The resort is located up on a hill which give you unlimited spectacular view all day. The sandy beach stretches for 900 meters. There are 3-4 restaurants on the property and many more within walking distance. This is truly an oasis - a secret sanctuary - a paradise found resort. I still want to revisit again and probably request different room for different view. Magical time really happened while staying here. Thanks to all staff.
