Travel: Half Day-Trip Snorkelling Pulau Kapas (Terengganu)

This is a very late post of my day-trip experience to Pulau Kapas in Terengganu a few years back.

This was an un-planned trip when I was driving back from Kuala Terengganu to fetch my brother +Shafwan Wahab during his University days. Decided to do a half-day trip to Pulau Kapas before continue our journey back to Kuala Lumpur. Picked Pulau Kapas instead of Perhentian or Redang since wanted to make a quick out-of-city gateway.

Images are captured with my Nokia N95.

About Pulau Kapas
Kapas Island or Pulau Kapas is an island 6 kilometers off the coast of Terengganu, Malaysia. "Kapas" is the Malay word for cotton. It features crystal clear seawater, pristine powdery white beaches and untouched tropical jungle.

How To Get There
Head down to Marang jetty. The boat ride will take you about 15 minutes. You can purchase the boat ticket from the available counter booths at the jetty. Price is around RM30 (return ticket). Do pay attention on the boat ride timing, especially on the last boat trip from the island.

Snorkelling
Once reach the island, you can purchase snorkelling packages from the booth. It will cost you around RM25 inclusive of the boat, snorkelling gears and guide.
