Lots of backlash after the announcement about postponement of Standard Chartered KL Marathon 2013 by the organisors which is supposed to be held this Sunday due to health concerns in Kuala Lumpur. I am too disappointed with the decision. But yeah, health is important.
3 marathons events till date that have been postponed for certain reasons. Borneo International Marathon 2013, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah (PRU13), Running: Supersports 10 Miles International Run 2013, Bangkok, Thailand (Organisor not ready) and now Standard Chartered KL Marathon 2013 (Haze Issue). What's next?
I guess that there will be a lot of complications for runners since runners have been planning their trip to Kuala Lumpur and trained hard for this event. Furthermore, the new selected date by the organisors is the same with 2XU Compression Run 2013 Malaysia. However, the 2XU organisor decided to give way to SC KL Marathon for the date and venue. 2XU yet to announce the new race date.
The 2XU Compression Run 2013 Malaysia was announced yesterday and I am sure those who missed the 2XU Compression Run Half Marathon 2013 in Singapore last April will take part. Same race pack kit, same registration package but with different categories (8KM and 15KM).
